Lovely words, mate. A fitting tribute to someone who was obviously held in high regard by a lot of people.

Thanks Reggie. It's amazing how many lives she touched in one way or another.

What a moving account of your mother. She sounds a wonderful person. I think that she put those words up to be read after her death by those who love her - even if that intention was unconscious. My mother had bought and carefully wrapped a lovely toy hedgehog for my daughter (who was born 3 weeks after mum's death) and I still regard that hedgehog as very special - it certainly won't be donated to charity like the other soft toys.

Many thanks, Sheila. Whatever my mother's intentions with her note, it certainly worked out to be, in effect, words of comfort from her.

So Sorry Paul. Tomorrow it’s 5 years since my mother died, and I fully understand your need to express and share your feelings about a great person in your life. You are right - everyone leads an extraordinary life.
