So, for those who are interested, here's the bio....
I was born in 1957 (you work out what that means now, I don't care to!). I've been, at various times, a seaman, a missionary, a janitor, a storekeeper, a clerical assistant, a petrol pump attendant and unemployed. For fifteen years or so I was a Scenes of Crime Officer, (or Crime Scene Investigator as we're now called). Not at all a bad job, but nothing like it looks on TV. (As I said at least once every working day!). That period of my life has now come to an end: I am currently a part-time bookkeeper, part time writer and occasional house-husband!
Three things of significance about me.

Three things of significance about me.
- I'm a Christian. I don't much care for terms like 'born again', 'evangelical' or 'Bible believing' - they've picked up too many negative connotations - but yes, that's what I am. My faith is perhaps most obviously expressed by the fact that I'm a Local Preacher in the Methodist church. (Lay Preacher, if you're not familiar with Methodist terminology). I'd like to think that it's expressed in everything I do, but I'm not the best person to make that judgement.
- I'm married, with one wife (Annie), three kids (Tom, Matt and Andy), and a dog (Blaze). The dog has fur, four legs, and sometimes does as he's told - which is how we tell the difference between him and the kids. More of them later.
- I write stories. More accurately, I think of stories! Nearly every waking moment of my life there's a story of some sort going round in my head. Perhaps more than one. And it's been like that as far back as I can remember - I was making up stories long before I could begin to write them! And even now, I've got more stories inside me than I'll ever have time to write. Every now and then I have to get some of them out of my head and put them into words. It helps to relieve the pressure.
