Welcome to Yearning Blue.
Yearning blue is the colour of distant hills. It's the desire to see beyond, to explore, to go further. For me, it's discovering the stories that are inside me.
Exploring those distant hills of the imagination has taken me to some strange places. From the depths of Interstellar Space, to an Imperial Palace. From a murder scene to a dragon's cave. And I've met some interesting people along the way. A Scenes of Crime Officer with more curiosity than is good for her, a humble priest seeking to save an Empire, a contract killer...
You can meet some of these people on this website. Others can be found in my published crime novel 'Can of Worms' or in a book of linked short stories, 'The Ways of Dragons'.
Keep up to date with my published writing by visiting my Facebook page
Yearning blue is also a phrase from one of my poems ( The View from the Hilltop ): and if you understand the poem, and what yearning blue is, then you will understand a lot about me.
Of course, you might not particulally want to understand me! In which case, please just read - and I hope enjoy - the stories, poems and other items on this site. That's the main purpose of it - to share my view from the hilltop.
